The globalization of culture started by Internet  makes it necessary to strengthen cultural identity by keeping popular traditions and customs alive.
 For this reason  the  "ICARO"  association and the  "Celebration Committee in honor of Saint Sebastian"   have created a web site providing information about the history of religion in Palazzolo Acreide  (near
 Siracusa, Italy).
 Their goal is to introduce a worldwide audience to the faith surrounding the feast of Saint Sebastian in Palazzolo Acreide.

For example the patron was St. Paolo,nero, calvo,terribile, dressed of black, the sword baleante that had cut one hundred and a heads of Christians, and up there' they proclaimed another patron, St. Sebastiano naturally, candied, very beautiful, intellectual, tied up to a sapling and pierced through by silver arrows, the graduates' gentleman, of the artisans and of the students...
